Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Why does it take so long to get questions post in the forum approved?

A discussion forum loses it's main functionality i.e. discussion when A question takes a day to approve. In my case, it's already a day and counting...

What kind of moderation technique is being employed here which takes such a long time to get a post approved, I wonder.

1 answer: sort voted first

It's only the 5 first posts. And it's slower on weekends, true.

One could only wish the same was applied to AH. Quite frequently half of the Unanswered Questions tab is made of spam. :| Bots also reply to bot questions, bumping things up. It's pretty disgraceful at the moment.

@Everynone AH? What's an AH? Is it possible to improve communications on this site by spelling out abbreviations When First Used (WFU) style? Okay to use 'em, but please explain first time out. Many thanks.

Ouch, serves me well! AH stands for Answer Hub - it says it right here on the page... How did you even find this site ;)
