Merge Actors Garbled Geo

Does the mesh look like that on the mobile platform when it is not merged?

Hello,

Using the Merge Actors tool to optimize a level. Merging quite a few very low poly geo (mostly boxes), and the results in the editor looks great. However when I test the level on its intended platform (Android and iOS), the merge actor static mesh is a garbled mess. This also occurs when I preview it using the mobile preview in a standalone window in the editor.

I’ve tinkered around with pretty much all of the settings on the merge actor tool with no success. I have attached a screen shot below of what the merged actor looks like in the editor, and then when using the mobile preview. Thank you!

It only looks like that when Merging the geo using merge actors. Otherwise it looks normal on mobile.

Could you post some pictures of your code? There might be some small mistake causing this.

@soggybons thank you for taking the time to ask that question. There is no code associated with my merge actor issue that I am aware of. The result is just a static mesh. Maybe I am not understanding your question correctly? I attached a screen shot below of the overall statistics of the resulting merge actors static mesh. I tried it with deleting the collision prims and also keeping them intact (to see if that did anything).

Thanks

If I break up my merge actors into several different static meshes instead of one, this issue seems to go away. Thanks for helping everyone.
