Material not applying properly to skeletal mesh

So I took the Twinblast mesh on the right removed his guns and added the swords you see on the left to his skeleton and mesh. After 100+ hours of animating and gameplay programming. I had some downtime today and decided to try the materials from the original mesh on mine. And these are the results I got (left).

PLEASE, someone give me some good news and tell me this is fixable. Maybe I didn’t check a box somewhere? Or I need to change a setting?

I even tried to put a plain material that doesn’t have any character Normals or Masks, and no details from the materials will show up on my mesh.

What is causing this?

I’m using 4.22.1, I’m not sure if you’re using morph targets but I had an Alembic imported as a skeletal mesh and the material showed up in the editor window but not when I played it in PIE or the selected viewport or when I launched it. Sometimes if I used a non masked material it would.
Long story short I checked the “used with morph targets” under “usage” in the material parameters in the material editor.
