Black mesh/ lighting issue with datasmith files

I have built all of my static meshes in Sketchup and have imported them into UE4 via datasmith. This works out fine in that I am able to edit materials and build lighting without error.

The problem arrises when I save all of my changes and close out of UE4. When I reopen my project, all of my static meshes are black, as if there is an error in UV mapping or light building.

The lighting only works again if I right click on all of my static meshes individually and select edit- reimport mesh.
This is extremely time consuming, especially if i have to do it on every single object, everytime I close and reopen a file.

Is there anything I can do to avoid this? Perhaps I am simply not saving my level/ project properly?
Or maybe there is a way to select all static meshes in my project and reimport them all at once?

I have already tried right clicking on the datasmith scene in the content browser, but to no avail.

I am having the exact same issue. The error doesnt show up until after I reopen saved file. Would love to get this resolved.

Thanks, that is what I was looking for! It works for me too

I had same issue this week.

You can open “Geometries” folder of your Datasmith scene in Content Browser pane, Ctrl-A to select all geometries - right click - Reimport

In my case this solution resolve problem

I have the same problem. Do you have any solutions?

SOLUTION FOUND! I have been having the same issue very randomly.
Double click the asset in the outliner (or the asset location) to open the static mesh editor. Click the “REIMPORT NORMALS” checkbox. You will not see a change until you close the editor and it asks if you want to save the change and click “yes”.
