Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

How to build lighting for HISM's

We are having artifact issues when baking static lighting on Hierarchical instanced static meshes. Image below shows the difference in baked lighting between HISM and ISM. Are we doing something wrong or is this a bug? All settings on the components are identical.alt text

I've attached a small sample project that reproduces the issue here.

Product Version: UE 4.20

Hi Shyfty,

This issue appears to have been reported here:

https://issues.unrealengine.com/issue/UE-62526

I went ahead and tested your project with the fix included and the issue no longer occurs. This fix will be available in a future engine release. If you have any other questions please let me know.

Thanks, Jeremy
