why does it take so long to make an AAA game, is it because of the art

I am just wondering why does it take so long to make an AAA game beside art.

theres also testing, bug fixing, coding the systems, making everything work well together, developing new ideas and systems, recording audio, rendering video, production and marketing time, securing funds, and much much more. theres a million tiny details that need to be accounted for spread across several companies and hundreds of people, thats a major management task. your game has to bring something new and innovative to the game which takes time to develop and test. and the game needs to run on as many systems as possible at the best framerate which means creating options, optimization, and lots of testing.
