Stop camera Translation TwinStickShooter tutorial

I’m following the Tutorial series in lesson 7 when setting up the spring arm and camera and things are going well except when i got to play the level the camera transform when i rotate the direction of the character to be translated to always be behind the character. The camera doesn’t rotate, but the position moves relative to the character.

I followed the steps and i’m wondering if there is a new setting that exists now that didn’t when the tutorial came out? The attached pictures show the translation of the camera if i rotate my view. i’m not sure how to fix this, by setting absolute translation the camera doesn’t move at all, and having it follow my pawn direction doesn’t work either.

To move through the tutorial i can set the camera pointing down 90 degrees to get me though.
