[Linux] Editor stuck at 35% "Verifying Global Shaders for GLSL_430"

Hey guys so I am running Ubuntu 18.04 and got the engine to build. However I am running into an issue when I run the linux binary in Engine/Binaries/Linux/UE4Editor. I get to 35% and then it hangs. The console output is as follows and any help is appreciated:

You have one core available for the editor. In this case it may be not starting any ShaderCompileWorker-s at all and doing the whole work on the main thread, so it may not be hanging, just the process can take hours given such constrained resources.

Ah I see. I have an intel core i7 7700HQ. 4 Cores 8 Threads. Do you know how I can dedicate more cores to the editor? Or a workaround given my specs which should be more than enough to work in ue4. I just switched to linux so I know my specs shouldnt be the problem

Are you running the editor in terminal in the native OS, without any extra measures like taskset etc? For whatever reason the editor is programmatically pinned just one core, so it is not fully utilizing your CPU, as evidenced from those lines:

Well, something outside of the engine limits it (or maybe the whole gnome terminal or bash, who are engine’s parent processes) to one core only. You can try using taskset utility to make more cores available.

So turns out everyone that ubuntu was only seeing 1 of my 4 cores on my cpu. I used this forum post to fix it. You need to edit your grub which will allow ubuntu to recognize all your cores

Just wait for it. It took around half a hour for me.
