Are Multipass Blend Texture's going to be suported?

Are Multipass Blend Texture’s going to be suported, or are they all ready but called something else?

This is in regards to making a fur material.

Also, the material editor looks the same as UE3, is there more planned for it?

Ah, I see what you are after. We don’t have plans to add multipass support any time soon. You could achieve similar results by duplicating the mesh in the scene and applying different materials to each.

I’m not sure what you mean by multipass blend texture, can you provide a link?

As for the material editor we will be updating the node graph editing portion to match the blueprint and VIM editors but I’m not sure when we’ll get to it yet. That will help a bit in terms of usability and we are always evaluating new features and improvements as our artists request them but we don’t have any plans to make big changes to the material editor at this time.

Here is a white paper on it.
