Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Smooth Shading on a Landscape

Hi all,

I am trying to use a relatively low-poly landscape. The problem is, you can clearly see the edges of each polygon. I found a post describing how to fix this using something with the normal map: https://forums.unrealengine.com/development-discussion/content-creation/2904-landscape-without-smoothing?p=147744#post147744

I tried this but my terrain now looks like this:

Other people were saying it worked like a charm for them, what am I doing wrong? This is my code:

Thanks!

The reason it looks like this is because the post is how to remove smooth shading not increase it i suggest using ambient occlusion/specular maps/emissive maps to achieve the effect you want
