- Upload my Static Meshes, Set Lod Number = 2 in FBX Import Options(see link below)
- Create a Empty map
- Create a simple actor with HierarchicalInstancedStaticMesh Component
- Set Static Mesh of HierarchicalInstancedStaticMesh Component(see link below)
- Add 2 instances(maybe more)
- Move them manually in different directions
- Place the Actor in the game and turn on Mesh LODs in View Mode
- Try to Replace Static Mesh and move the Camera
- LODs not work on the lowpoly model(around 2000 poly and below) and work on hipoly(8000 poly +)
This Meshes almost copy each other, just 1 additional subdivision in Blender - It’s all the difference.
