UE4 Reference A.I Mesh Inside Different Blueprints

So I made an A.I Character, (Its just the UE4 mannequin) and I need to grab his mesh and put It In different blueprints. Is there any way to do this? I dont know If casting works cause I have no Idea how to use that. If anyone can help It would be greatly appreciated

what do you mean grab his mesh and put it in different bp? are your trying to create another character using the same model or are you just trying to reference the mesh from another bp?

if your trying to reference the mesh from another actor then theres a ton of ways to do that but it depends on the situation.

so youll need to provide some more info, you should provide more information when asking questions anyway as you didnt explain mush here.

Im trying to reference the mesh from another actor

ok well whats the situation / context?

theres line traces, theres public variables, overlap events, sorting, etc… like i said theres many ways to go about getting a reference but it depends on your situation. oh also you need a reference to do a cast so we need to work out the reference issue first.

Nevermind I figured It out, I went to the level blueprint and created a reference to the actor I was using

if it works for you then guess thats that.

routing all things through the level bp isnt how i would do it. its more work and it severely limits the reuseability of your actors and scripts. but if its how you want to go im not one to argue its your game and your decision.

What happened? xD

thats a bot. they usually post spam links but sometimes they screw up and instead of putting nonsense in a question title they end up making comments.

ooohh okay
