It seems like a Function Input node with an Input Type of “Function Input Static Bool” lists itself on the node as Input (MaterialAttributes) this also appears on the Material Function Node with an (MA) input.
Setting the Function Input to ‘Function Input Material Attributes’ shows as Input (External).
