Unreal Engine causes 4k monitor to go black for a few seconds while moving mouse

Unreal Engine loads up fine. The problem is moving my cursor anywhere within the application windows causes the monitor to go black for a few seconds. it comes back…then when I move it again…same thing. Moving my cursor anywhere outside the window doesn’t cause the problem.

I have:
Windows 10 (64-bit)
Geforce 1070 GTX (newest drivers)

happen to me also.

anyone can help?still got this problem

I started having this exact issue yesterday! No idea what changed?
Latest drivers with GeForce 1080Ti

The latest Nvidia drivers are the culprit. I rolled back to 399.24-desktop-win10-64bit-international-whql.exe
No more black screen of annoyance!

the new update nvidia still got this problem.any other solution than downgrade the driver?

guys I really need help this problem …please someone!

I haven’t tried rolling back the driver as I need the updated ones for compatibility on other things…so that wouldn’t be a solution for me in my situation. I will say…Thanks for finding that out though LeonBrazil.

It does seem to be exclusively 4k TV related as I have 2 monitors (TV’s). 1x 1080p and 1x 4k Samsung smart. When I drag the Unreal Editor within my 1080p TV…there’s no issues present. It’s only when I drag the window onto my 4K TV that the issue presents itself. Very Weird!!!

After new nvidia driver update ,still got this problem …

Yep I had to roll back another driver version, I was finding hitches with the one I posted above.
This one is the most stable for me:
399.07-desktop-win10-64bit-international-whql-rp.exe

I tried the latest 411.70, that still causes the 4K black screen of annoyance.

Sticking with 399.07 for the time being.

Same here on Nvidia 416.16.

Nvidia 416.34 also got this problem

same issue too (1070ti).

same issue too since last month

i’m japanese

1080ti,4K monitor

this kind of problem is just only UE4

If it helps anyone…I no longer have the issue anymore after updating to version 4.20.3

Still an issue with 4.20.3. This only causes my main display to black out.

im still got this problem after use ver 4.20.3

Happy solution here !!

Turn your HDR&WCG setting of W10 On !!

Then this trouble gone !!

thanks, was having this problem and this fixed it

Turning HDR & WCG ON in Windows 10 Display settings fixed the issue for me with the latest Nvidia drivers (416.34). Thank you!
