Using 1980s content for my game.
I have some questions about using 80s content like mafia 3. Could I use weapons that the company is no longer making money from? Like I researched it and they said I can use items in my game like historic items such as weapons from ww2. But what aboit vehicals? If I use a Shelby Belair will I get sued for using that car even though no one is buying that car?

if you have to ask if you will be sued then you shouldnt be doing it. contact the people that own the rights to the game and art, in your case the dev or publisher of mafia 3 its their property. this answerhub if for questions about developing in the engine not about legal advice on potential theft.
You read my question wrong, I am not using mafia 3 vehicals I was saying if I use 80s content LIKE mafia 3, because most 2018 games are being developed in the 1980s or ww2 games due to these copy rights, then I said could I use a Shelby Belair sense no one is buying them, or will I still get copy striked. Then I did research and it said I could use historic items like ww2 weapons or items that companies no longer make money from, my question is could I use items that don't make money anymore. Before you critize my question you need to look at these People who post questions about fortnite errors instead of commenting on a post you don't have the answer to just to be heard.
the point still stands. if you intend to use a product trademarked by a entity you should get permission to use it. you may get away with using it without their consent but you still run the risk of legal action if they do decide to pursue the case. if you get permission however theres no issue.
as for your comment of just wanting to be heard, look at the list of top karma earners right now and how many accepted answers i have, maybe i know a thing or two. also i didnt make what i said an answer i made it a comment since its not a actual answer just more of my view on things, im not a lawyer or judge so im not going to put legal things as an answer. i just listed what would be a safe bet. your question also doesnt pertain to using the engine so i mentioned that as well.
in any event no point in putting each other on blast. its better to be safe when it comes to legal matters than to have the possibility of issues. it never hurt to call up a company and see if they mind you using their products.
