Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Moving between areas like Resident evil?

So just a quick question, how could I go about doing this?, like Should I just make each area a new level that can go back and forth between the two? or would I be better off doing like a teleport?

Product Version: UE 4.20

Whats the reasoning behind it in your case? Keep in mind that Resident Evil did this due to limited amount of memory at the time

Mostly doing it as a learning experience, Something fun I guess.

Player and world/enviro as 3D objects. Place fixed cameras as desired in the rooms. Switch current viewport into whichever camera as the player overlaps Trigger Volumes you'd have in the places of the scene you want the camera angle to change. If your aim is a RE1-type mansion, UE4 could easily handled it in a single level. Cheers.
