UE4 Editor Problem after new setup

Hello, folks,

I have the following problem. For about a year now I have been developing with the Unreal Engine 4 without any problems.

Now I have updated my setup.
Means I changed my motherboard + CPU.

Board: Before Asus Z170 => now Z370 Aorus Gaming 7
CPU: Before i7 6700K => now i7 8700K

I have added two more Ram sticks to this. So that I get 32 GB.
Graphics card has remained the same.

The following results now, no matter which game I play, I have no problems, everything runs super…everything works out.

But when I now start the Unreal Engine 4 Editor, I already have the problem in the project window when I move the mouse over elements, my screen switches off and on again. If I don’t move the mouse then nothing happens…but as soon as I go back over elements the screen restarts.
This happens with Display port and HDMI.
I reinstalled all drivers, reinstalled Windows, ran Ram tests, tested older UE Engine versions etc.

I have to say that I use the Samsung C49HG90 monitor, but it didn’t cause any problems before.

Do you have an idea?

EDIT: I’ve tried out an other Monitor…works…any idea why unreal have problems with the C49HG90?

Hi,

i have the same issue. I run my setup with some other components (AMD CPU) but same absolutely stunning great monitor.

I tried also Display port and hdmi and if I hover over an elements in the editor my monitor switches off and on again.

Did you find a solution?

Hi,

yes I found a solution.
The Problem was that the monitor runs on hdmi 2.0, you can change that in your monitor menu.

That was all
