Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Unreal Engine Not Working! Please Help!

When I hover my mouse over the launcher my screen turns black and freezes. Launching any version of the engine crashes my computer. So basically, I can not use UE4 (cant get past the launcher). I am noticing that it only happens when i put the mouse over a button or text box. I am a game art student and I can not do my homework or study. This is extremely urgent!

Things I have tried: -reinstalled all drivers for my GPU and monitor -tried older versions of the drivers -reinstalled the engine -Switched monitors -Reinstalled my OS -Tried engine version 4.12, 4.18, 4.19, and 4.20.3

Specs: i7 4790k GTX1080 16 gigs of RAM

Product Version: UE 4.20

I have the same issue, using a 1070ti. I guess its nvidia's fault with the new drivers.

I have 1070, what version is your driver? I'm not experiencing such issues at all and I just updated my driver to latest last night.

I solved it by switching to drivers 399.21. The only problem is, substance painter is running slow on this driver.

This freeze of computer screen is common and it usually happens when we open a game or play a game of larger graphics than supported and UE4 codec’s help but not much like DirectX. DirectX 11 or up can help any game a stable graphics with essaysaviour.review because it’s shown that your PC is much and prepared for gaming. I hope my suggestion will help you, Thanks.
