Unreal Engine Not Working! Please Help!

When I hover my mouse over the launcher my screen turns black and freezes. Launching any version of the engine crashes my computer. So basically, I can not use UE4 (cant get past the launcher). I am noticing that it only happens when i put the mouse over a button or text box. I am a game art student and I can not do my homework or study. This is extremely urgent!

Things I have tried:
-reinstalled all drivers for my GPU and monitor
-tried older versions of the drivers
-reinstalled the engine
-Switched monitors
-Reinstalled my OS
-Tried engine version 4.12, 4.18, 4.19, and 4.20.3

Specs:
i7 4790k
GTX1080
16 gigs of RAM

I have the same issue, using a 1070ti. I guess its nvidia’s fault with the new drivers.

I have 1070, what version is your driver? I’m not experiencing such issues at all and I just updated my driver to latest last night.

I solved it by switching to drivers 399.21. The only problem is, substance painter is running slow on this driver.
