Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

How to get rid of White Section - Transparent Vertex Painting

Hi, I'm trying to vertex blend from an opaque vertex material assignment to a transparent one. I'm getting a white colour when I try to fade to the channel that is transparent, as you can see in the picture below:

How can I get rid of the white and just go straight to transparent?

I am relatively new to UE4, so maybe I'm overlooking an obvious option, but I couldn't find a solution online.

Here is my material chart:

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

EDIT: Just to be clear, the transparency vertex colour channel is working, you can see that it is transparent next to the orange outline of the object. but the transition from opaque material to transparent is giving me a white colour.

Oh hey, I removed the blue channel albedo slot and it disappeared. The transparency is on the blue channel, and I had an empty slot running through the albedo of the blue channel. Simply breaking that link took care of it.
