Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

How to collect assets to be able to drag & drop into mulitple projects?

hi. I'm new to unreal engine and I've been making a bunch of little projects to test out things. It would be great if there was some way to have a collection of common blueprints, mesh, textures, sound and particle effects that I could drag and drop into my project. I have used the MIGRATE option to move things but it's a huge hassle to open another project just to bring in one tree object or a sound.. and then open another project for a texture.. and you also have to clean up the folder structure if it's not the same.. with everything UE has thought of and all the great features it seem like a big oversight.. how is this handled in something like a game jam situation where you want to have quick access things for rapid prototyping?

I really want to know that too. It's so confusing for a beginner (like me). Migrate is not a good tool i think. I am triyng to gather free epic assets into one project just to know what i got for further use and folders get very complicated with migrate.
