Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Need completely black decal

Hi, I'm currently trying to make RTS fog of war and decided to make it deferred decal with DBuffer Translucent Color. The problem is that decal is affected by light and shadows from landscape/objects. Is it possible to make deferred decal not receive any light thus become completely black?alt text

Okay this might be a bit hacky, but it should work in most circumstances:

  • Set your Decal Blend Mode to: DBuffer Translucent Color,Normal

  • Connect a Scalar (0) to the Base Color slot

  • Connect a Vector (0,0,-1) to the Normal slot

This essentially flips the normals of the decal. As long as you don't have lights under the decal, it'll be completely black.
