How to get a light placed behind a planar reflection to be rendered in the planar reflection

If you get a planar reflection and place a spot or point light behind it, the light it casts will not be rendered in the planar reflection. So if that light is the only light source in the level, the reflection will be pitch black. Is there any way to make a spot or point light located behind a planar reflection to be rendered in the reflection?
(This is posted under 4.19 but I have tried the same setup in 4.20 and I get the same results.)
