Shadows disappear more than 20 km away in the world

The shadows of the objects disappear when crossing a radius of a little more than 20 km of distance. I know it’s a very long distance, but would it be possible to increase that limit?

I’m slightly concerned about the scale of your scene as a whole. Are these objects centered? Is this a place people would see or be able to get to? Although I’m not sure how to make shadows on something that far away as it seems there is just a distance where things will no longer have shadows, I do at least have one work around!

What you can do is go into your static mesh and increase the “Positive Bound Extension” and “Negative Bound Extension.” This would basically make the object large enough to be within the standard distances without actually being positioned there. This, however, is not an ideal solution as you would have a lot of objects being rendered/casting shadows when they are far enough away to not matter, and shouldn’t be. You may want to look into your general scale/positioning situation before doing this.

Thanks for the answer.

English is not my native tongue. I’m sorry if the text looks a bit tin.

This is a game with 2.5D vision where I launch a character from a cannon always in the same direction. For him to go around the world I need at least 100 km away, so he teleports himself to
-100 km taking advantage of the other side of the world. The problem is that directional light is not projecting shadows after 20km of diatance. Directional light works well.

If you change the value In a dynamic Shadow Cascades from 4 to 0 the shadows reappear, but
their quality is very poor.

Would that be a motor limitation, a directional light bug? Is there a value that I can change so that the shadows are projected over the 20km radius, or am I forgetting something?

Thanks for answering

But I wonder why the shadows disappear when the object gets so far away from 0.0.0.

This only happens with directional light.
The point light continues to run. If you have an open project place two objects at a position greater than 21km and you will see that the shadows do not work. Is this a limitation, or is it to increase some value that I may have shadow over this distance?

Solved

Just set a new value for World Origin Location.
