Objects are completely black until lighting is built?

For some reason, after I upped the lightmap resolution on one of my static meshes, the object turned black until I built the lighting…and this issue persists with ALL static meshes in my scene. Does anyone know why this might be, or how I can fix it? I’d like the preview so that I can add materials and know when it works.

Typically, when a lighting value is changed on a static object the lighting will revert to preview/dynamic lighting instead. Its unusual that this is showing you completely black. What lights are in your scene? what sort of values have you adjusted on them? Have you changed any of the lighting setting in the “World Settings” recently that may be affecting this preview/dynamic lighting? Do you have a Lightmass Importance volume in your scene?
