FBX skeletal mesh import, mesh becomes joint, joints not showing at all
i have 4 month old fbx files with skeletal meshes and animation that work just fine when importing them into unreal 1.19, however new FBX exports from MAYA dont work when imported into unreal Engine, it doesnt recognize it as skeletal mesh, and the actual mesh becomes a single bone, and no other joints are imported.
i've done this many many times, create joints, bind skin, export fbx, import in unreal and is good to go, skeletal mesh with joints, today i did the same, but all my fbx are not recognize as skeletal meshes, i haven't touched settings that is the weird part... any ideas on what's going on? thank you

Reset the fbx export option, right at the top, don't play with the setting for hours xD, change it from user defined to autodesk media and entertainment, it has the same values but it works, at least for me
