Bad shadows after lighting build

I changed the “LOD Group” on some of my models to “Small Prop” and when I build lighting it seems to use the lowest LOD for computation. The weird part is that this problem persists even when I change the Group back to None, deleting the LODs.

Any idea how to fix this?

Are you sure you have enough lightmap resolution for the floor? The cork (?) has no shadows at all, it’s like floating (not to mention the obviously wrong shaped shadows)…

Do you change lightmap res ?

The lightmaps are fine. I have been able to get decent results with the default 64 resolution and the only thing I changed since then is the LOD settings.

This chandelier is another example. The lowest auto-generated LOD was pure mess, so I adjusted the settings to ensure less LODs and less reduction but the old one still exists (somewhere).

Oh and it seems that shadows for the small meshes (bottle, plate and soda can) disappear upon lighting build.
