Royalty-free for museum interactives?

Hello!

I work for a non-profit, science museum as a software developer for interactive media. In the past we have used Unity to make software for some interactive activities in our exhibit halls and we wanted to explore Unreal. Based on the EULA, FAQs, and some previous posts it sounds like use of Unreal in our museum would be royalty-free, but I just want to make sure.

Are the following usages of Unreal royalty-free?

  1. Use of Unreal for interactive software in paid, general admission exhibit hall? (The exhibit hall is a large portion of the building and holds many different exhibits with digital and physical experiences.)
  2. Use of Unreal for interactive software in paid, ticketed admission to a specific exhibit? (Usually these exhibits are outside the general exhibit hall so that admission is paid separately. These experiences in the exhibit are also a mix of digital and physical.)

Thank you!

Yes, as long as these uses are limited to location-based exhibits, you will not owe royalty on the ticketing revenue.
