Are there any best practices to using Unreal from mounted storage?

Hello,

I wold like to run the unreal engine form a location that multiple workstations mount, so that I only have one install to manage. I have compiled the binaries and copied the entire UnrealEngine-release folder to the mentioned central location. Running the UE4Editor seems to work fine from this location so far, but I was wondering if there were any best practices for this kind of install or is it not advised?
