Datasmith Import Icon Missing

Hi

I have just installed a fresh copy of UE4 and I have checked that the Datasmith plug-in is enabled, however I do not see the import icon on the toolbar next to settings.

Could anyone help me bring this up, please?

Thanks

First, I want to confirm that you are using Windows.

In the Editor, go to Edit > Plugins > Unreal Studio. If Datasmith is installed to the engine you should see a number of different plugins listed here including “Datasmith Importer”. Make sure all the plugins are enabled.

If you still need further help, please log an Unreal Studio support ticket on our dedicated support site: https://docs.unrealengine.com/Studio

Thank you.

Hi Stephen

Yes, I am using Windows.

The only two plug-ins I can see there are Datasmith Content and Variant Manager Content, and these are both enables.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Go to the Launcher’s “Library” page, and under the 4.21 engine slot, click on “Installed Plugins”. It sounds to me like Datasmith isn’t installed. You can confirm here. If it does show…uninstall the plugin. And either way, scroll down the Library page until you see the Datasmith plugin, and install it to 4.21.

And of course, in order to see the Datasmith Plugin, you must be signed up for the Unreal Studio Beta.

Thanks, this resolved it!

cant find mine
