Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Syncing UT Project on Github

I recently downloaded the Unreal Tournament project from Github and just synced for the first time. My question is, does this automatically update the files on my computer so the next time I open the project in UE4 it'll be updated? I wouldn't imagine so, so if not how do I do this?

Hi Skisma,

At this time there is not a function for UT to auto-update. You would need to watch for UT update announcements and then go to GitHub to get the latest version. Sorry for any inconvenience. The source is available, so if anyone wanted to implement a system for updates it would be feasible, but our staff is currently concentrating on game design and networked play. Let me know if you have any questions and I will be happy to further assist.

Thanks for the response! Ok so the only question I really have now is, what is that sync button for? Just to see if stuff has been updated?

That will sync up your GitHub repository with your local client's repository. It is not involved with updating your files, just sending them to github.

Ok thanks for the clarification!
