Can't reference or edit StaticMeshComponent
I'm trying to create a dynamic material instance for an object in my game but am finding that I can't reference the object within my blueprint. I found a working example of this in the office example provided by epic but for some reason it's not really working within my game.
If you look at the attached screenshots, you can see how monitor mesh is editable whereas my object - currently the default "StaticMeshComponent" - is not editable. I'm not sure why?
Not sure if it helps, but I created this object by inserting a box brush and then converting it to a static mesh.
