Different texture colours in Photoshop than in UE

Hi, Im creating texture for asset and in UE I’m receiving different colors than in PS. For example orange become yellow etc. Generally the colors are a bit washed, I have to use power node in material editor to make them look similar to Photoshop. I’ve tried to set different compression of texture but doesn’t help.

Are you checking it in the Unlit mode?
The lighting of your level can drastically change the color of the objects.

hey, thanks for response

Forget to mention about it, yes I checked it.
annoying issue…

whenever I have this issue it seems I accidentally changed my proof settings in photoshop:

(I personally either use the cmyk or monitor rgb.

If thats not the case, it could perhaps be some gamma settings in either photoshop or ue4… though never had that issue myself besides with older Unreal engines.

Did you ever get this fixed?

I just encountered the same issue and it turned out to that Unreal was setting the texture to normalmap by default, and hence changing the compression method - which inverted the red channel.

The settings on the image attached sorted it.

Honestly, I dont remember :stuck_out_tongue: I have memory of a fly.
Im not sure but somethings ring me a bell that I’ve tried to change color mode in photoshop from for example 32bits per channel to 16. I will try to retrace what I did.
