Crashes when menus are opened

Hi,
I’m very new to unreal engine and I have a truly bizarre error. The engine crashes whenever I open a drop-down menu. By that I mean when you might click ‘add new’ in the content browser, and a range of options appear, or when I highlight engine setting, and options like engine scalability or project settings appear. It becomes unresponsive for a few seconds, then crashes brutally. I have uninstalled and re-installed the engine multiple times, in case the download or installation was corrupted somehow, but the problem persists. Only once has this effect not been observed, but apart from that all projects that I have made, including ones made by Epic, like the ActionRPG, all crash when I enter a menu. This means I cannot create folders, or build lighting, or more importantly create blueprints or materials. The problem also appear to have spread to Fortnite, of all things. Normally, when it crashes, it has a flashing blue error that says connectivity issues blah blah blah, but recently it crashed, raising the dull, black, ue4 error screen, stating that ‘an unreal process has crashed’, and giving me the usual options to send the bug data to Epic. I have no idea what to do please help me! I am using ue4 on a laptop ( I do not have this problem on my desktop).

Hi,
I have the same problem on my laptop for quite a few releases now. The only solution I found is to go the device manager and click on update driver for my nvidia card. Browse for Drivers on Computer and choose Let me pick from a list. Choose the latest driver from the list which basically re installs the driver. After that UE4 Editor is working without problems. I have to do this procedure every time I restart my laptop.
