Unreal academy all videos are private

On unreal academy : https://academy.unrealengine.com/ all videos are private. Whenever i try to play video i get following message
Sorry. Because of its privacy settings, this video cannot be played here

.

Hello.

We are not currently aware of any issue. You may be located in a country that, unfortunately, does not support Vimeo.

Regards

I saw the quora answer. , Youtube is available in my Country. (India) and i am able to play any video on Vimeo except the unreal academy one’s.

Are you sure you have not listed the videos available in only few countries ?

Thank you for the information. I am not aware of the cause of the issue you are experiencing, but I will escalate this to the appropriate team for further investigation.

Thank you !! i guess till then i have to use proxy

Hi , thanks for the reply. I am playing them from https://academy.unrealengine.com/? only . I am logged in too .For now i am able to play the videos only via proxy where i have to change my country

Just a note that I am experiencing the same issue, attempting to view videos directly on unreal academy. I’ve tried a few different browsers and disabling all privacy/blocking/etc addons, but nothing works. Other vimeo videos on other sites are fine, but none of the unreal ones will load. I’m in the US, will try a proxy for now.

Hi! Sorry to hear you’re having trouble playing the videos! Are you playing them straight through Vimeo.com or via https://academy.unrealengine.com/?

They are only view-able if accessed through that domain - not through Vimeo.com. We don’t have any privacy restrictions set for your country, so they should be view-able.

Regards,

United Kingdom, same issue. I believe its the embeded video policies, you need to allow the site to embed them from Vimeo’s settings.

Hello All,
Can you give us a bit more background information.
This is very concerning and want to improve the experience as soon as possible.

Are you viewing on a mobile device?
What operating system?

Are you using VPN that is relocating your IP address to a potentially banned country?
Does it work when your VPN is turned off?

If there is anything else you can provide that can help with our troubleshooting efforts, please include.

Thank you,

  3. Location: India
  4. VPN/ Proxy : none ( but if i use proxy/vpn like hoxx vpn and set my location to some EU countries i am able to play video)

UPDATE:
As we are investigating this issue, it seems to be intermittent and difficult to reproduce. Individuals in the areas reported are not experiencing the issues brought up here.

We will continue to work with our vendors to identify the issues and bring you our content unimpeded.

Ran on Windows 7, Windows 10 and Android Mobile and get the same issue from the United Kingdom. I have also tried this on my ISP which is BT and also at work which is Daisy and still the same issue shows.

My browser reports a HTTP Status of 403 for the player URL, this would show that it is a Vimeo related problem and not a problem with your systems. I have even tried playing said video from Vimeo and this either states it is blocked due to privacy or I get a 404 Video not found.

I have the same issue trying to play the videos.

I am using Windows 7, I have no VPN, it’s a desktop computer using the latest version of Chrome and I am accesing them from the unreal academy website. It seems like something it’s missconfigured.
