Download drops to 0.00B/s.
My roommate (on xbox) and I (on PC) are hardwired with ethernet cables directly to our router and have the same download speeds.
Speedtest.net scores: Ping: 6ms DL: 240.53Mbps UL: 433.26Mbps
I have a brand new Alienware Aroura R7 desktop (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070, i7 8700), he has a brand new Xbox One S.
We update fortnite to v7.0 (Season 7) at the same time, and his download says 10 GB, mine says 2.5. His completes 3 times faster than mine even though it is 4 times the download size. My download screen through the Epic Games Launcher says I am downloading at an extremely slow 6.50 MB/s, then all of the sudden randomly drops to 0.00B/s and stops progress completely. Meanwhile my roommate downloads at around 200 MB/s as shown on the Xbox.
Is there a throttler in the Epic Games Launcher that makes my download go slowly? As a side note, we have tried updating at different times and we still have extremely different download speeds (even though technically my computer blows his xbox out of the water with computing power).
WHY DO WE HAVE THIS ISSUE? IT MAKES NO LOGICAL SENSE. SAME INTERNET, SAME GAME.
