Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

i have these weird lighting strips (HELP ME!)

the strips are in the image. the grey ones are colored and the black ones stay black no matter what color material i put on them. how do i fix it so the entire thing is lit?

Hey alx0427 -

What are your shapes lying on, is it a Geometry Brush and if so what is the Lightmap Resolution? What if any Material have you applied to it? Are you using version 4.4 or an earlier version of the engine? What types of light do you have in the scene?

it is a brush converted to SM. i have a basic matte grey colored material. im using 4.4, but it still occured in earlier versions. i have a DD light.

What does your UV channel unwrap look like in the Static Mesh Editor for Channel 1 and Channel 2? This looks like a bad Lightmap unwrap.

i only have channel 0

Hey alx0427 -

That was my mistake it should be Channel 0 and 1. Try to duplicate the UV Channel 0 to UV Channel 1 and then go into your Static Mesh settings and changing the Lightmap Index to 1.
