Snapping In Building System

Hello…

I am trying to create a Building System. i am using line trace and then doing the other stuff. so basically i have a hit node. from which i can get location, component, actor etc.

i want to do a Snapping System (Not Grid Snapping.) i just want to know how i would snap to other building things. i am not really following any tutorials but can spawn building stuff in and position them as i want. i dont know how to snap so i looked at a tutorial but i dont get how he is doing the snapping. i did however saw that he was using the help of box collision for this. so i have done the same on my foundation as a test. i just dont know what to do afterwards. i saw the box collision thing in PyroDev’s Building System Tutorial.

if someone can send me some pics of blueprint of how to do this that will be appreciated. Any Help will be appreciated. thanks :slight_smile:

Here’s How i have put down the box collisions. The white Object is my foundation and the outlines are box collisions.
