Forcing the player to jump upon entering a trigger zone

I am remaking an old game of mine called Impuzzable. It was a FPS puzzle game; however, I am making it into a 2.5D Side Scrolling game. The general feel of the game is a collection of brightly coloured/ textured blocks that have different attributes. So, when the player steps on different blocks, they will experience that effect. Such as, being catapulted into the air, teleported somewhere else in the level, being killed, gaining a life, speed increase, speed decrease, etc.

I am looking for anyone that might be interested in helping me achieve the results I am after, in return for 3D models. I am a 3D artist and really struggle when it comes to coding (of any description).
