Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

installing engine plugins to a source build

I am trying to install some plugins from the market place for 4.20 into a source build of the engine I moved the files all over to the source built engine. However I am still receiving errors stating that the referenced source directory does not exist? it is the socket.io plugin i am trying to get into the source built engine.

Anyone know how to get plugins for the engine moved over? thank you for your time :)

you can put plugins in the project folder, and make a folder called plugins, as this will let it show up in that projects plugins selector, and not others, this isn't a fix just a doable patch.

1 answer: sort voted first

Assuming you've put the plugins in the correct folder (make a Plugins folder in the root folder of your project or engine), you will have to generate project files after you've done this. Usually they aren't noticed before you do that first.

If this doesn't help you, what might help us help you is a screenshot or a copy/paste of your compiler output (maybe it tells you what folder it's expecting it to be in).
