Media Texture in UMG for 4.21

We used to choose media texture so we could play videos on umg. Has the workflow changed in 4.21? Seem not able to use it

can you confirm that you are using the same version please?

I occasionally find out a solution.

  1. Right click on your media texture and Create Material.
  2. Open the material and change material domain to User Interface.
  3. Save the mat, and you’ll find the material can be assigned to UMG Image in Blueprint.

It works for me. Wish you luck.

It seems like the brush/image browser is broken, as it does not find the media texture (and it cannot be dragged into it). However it works if you directly drag & drop the media texture into the UMG Designer…

This worked for me as well, thanks for the answer. However it also has its issues, such as you needing to drag and drop the texture into an empty space of the UI designer. Seems like the image browser getting fixed should be a priority.
