Smoothing groups are missing when importing FBX file into UE 4.21

When importing an .fbx file, I get an error message saying no smoothing group present. The imported asset looks low poly in UE4 although the mesh is detailed. When i import the same .fbx file in Autodesk fbx viewer, asset looks good and smooth.
