Footsteps getting landscape material BELOW spline meshes

I just got done tinkering with my first round of footstep sounds, and they work for the most part. The problem I’m running into is that I have road meshes that use Splines. When I walk over them, I don’t the correct sound for the mesh’s Physical Material, instead I get the sounds for the landscape underneath. Any ideas?

Collision wasn’t set up properly. Solved.

I am having this issue as well, Spline meshes aren’t playing any footstep sounds, what did you do to solve this issue?
