Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Loading and saving are usually bottlenecked by your storage drive. Open task manager and watch your hardware ramp up as you load things in editor. Is anything at 100%? If so, you should consider upgrading whatever part is maxed out.

The quick and easy answer though is that you should probably buy an SSD if you don't already have one. If you search for a Kingston SSD on Amazon, you'll find a 240gb drive for under 40 US dollars. Best bang for the buck. With a decent brand.

Should the engine or project or both files be on the ssd?

What's most important is that your computer boots from the SSD. You will also see improvements if the info you need to load is on the SSD. So both. Sorry, I didn't see the repy here in my notifications until now. I'm happy to help with any advice you may want about ue4, programming, or computer science in general.
