How to make capsule follow animation?

There are several issue with my project’s current state. But I’m having trouble with enemy character having a slide issue when aiming with cover. I have the video here.

I’ve read the root motion document. Since the enemy capsule detach with the mesh when doing the transition I supposed root motion is what I’m looking for. But seems not the case. I’ve check EnableRootMotion for both cover to aim and its staring transition animation. None of any Root Motion Root Lock option does any different.
The only solution I currently have is by adding movement input manually. But it doesn’t seem like a good solution. Any thoughts? Or I’m simply having a misunderstanding of root motion?

the only way ive managed to get the same effect of the character moving without the capsule was if enable root motion was unchecked
