Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Two Sided Distance Fields - Circle Errors?

Hi Guys

I am currently working on a new project that requires a photorealistc dynamic lighting setup, it's going okay so far considering it's my first attempt at dynamic lighting. However, I have encountered a weird problem when I enable two sided distance field generation. When I enable it I appear to be getting what looks like a large pixelated circle/shadow underneath the object (see below).

I'm unsure as to how to fix this, it happens on any object I enable two sided on and the reason I have it enabled for this one specific object is that it's glass and when it isn't enable the lights don't pass through correctly/accurately.

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Could you create and share an example project showcasing this issue?

I actually just managed to find a fix, my geometry was only one sided so after shelling it and disabling two sided distance fields, I now no longer get the issue but get accurate lighting.
