Play Rate scaling cuts/distorts the animation

Hi, I’m having this weird issue where I can’t speed up punching animation without altering the animation.

No idea what’s causing this. I tried changing the play rate in animation settings as well as montage settings and finally on blueprint level as you can see in the video. On animation level the cut seemed the smallest, still unusable though.

Just a guess but have you tried decreasing the montage blend out time?

You’ve doubled the speed, so the length is half, and now maybe the blend out time is as long as the animation so it starts blending out immediately.

And that was exactly it as the default blend time is quarter second and the settings are hidden/folded!
