Whenever I try to open my project, I get a
The following modules are missing or built with a different engine version:
DatasmithCADImporter,
DatasmithVREDImporter,
DatasmithDeltGenImporter,
DatasmithFBXImporter,
MDLImporter,
StaticMeshEditorExtension,
MeshProcessingLibrary,
VariantManager
The weird thing is that I was once able to open my first project. After I created another project the next day, I started getting the error and was unable to open any other newly created projects. Also, I already have the Datasmith plugin installed to my engine, which makes this even more confusing. The first project was a Blueprint, the second an Unreal studio, and the third was a C++. I tried deleting them all and then creating the C++ one again, but I still get same error.
If I try to have Unreal rebuild the project, I get a “CTFgame could not be complied. Try rebuilding from source manually.” If I try to open up CTFgame.sln with Microsoft Visual Studio 2017 and have it build, I still get the same error. I even tried uninstalling and installing Visual Studio again, but it didn’t work.
My unreal engine version is 4.21.1 and my datasmith is 4.21.0. I have a windows 10 pro lenovo I can launch the project browser perfectly fine.
Can someone help me out? I’m totally new to Unreal Engine and have no idea how to fix this.
