Whether the foliage tool can achieve collision response?

I want to achieve a semi-transparent material effect after a player hits the tree. Now I add a capsule collision box to the scene through a static mesh, then the collision class is selected as a tree, and the exposed parameters are used in the material. The transparency effect, but want to transplant to the leaf tool to brush the trees in the scene, although the collision class also chooses the tree, but can not achieve the translucent effect, I guess whether it is a collision response problem
