Changing a material using a HUD class or UGM

Hi, I’m working on a level in which you can change a material property by using a HUD, I have set up a material dynamic instance for this, but I have no idea why way to go about implementing an interface to do so, is there anyone with some feedback about this?

It would be the same way as changing a character color skin or eye in-game for a custom character, but I haven’t found any info about it. Is something like this video what I’m aiming for:
